Post 2

I've thought excessively about selfless acts of kindness, or selfless service. My definition of a selfless act of kindness is an act of kindness towards someone other than yourself where the only benefit to the person who is performing the kindness is happiness. It shouldn't be a selfish act of kindness if you derive good feelings from it.
BUT WAIT!

there's more.

To make that the only benefit, you cannot tell anyone that you performed this selfless act of kindness.

Ever.

Or else you would get brownie points from that person, no longer qualifying it as selfless.
So if someone asks you if you have ever performed a selfless act of kindness, you have to say "No."

That's the definition of selflessness. I want to see that in people.

So lying is okay sometimes I guess.
